Scranton and the surrounding Lackawanna County communities are roughly twenty minutes from our shop, and we work there constantly. Moscow, Greenfield Township, Clarks Summit, Dunmore, Olyphant and Carbondale are all comfortably inside our normal service radius.
What we build here
Lackawanna County sits on hilly ground, and much of it carries the legacy of the anthracite industry. Site conditions can change over a short distance — rock closer to the surface than expected, fill of uncertain origin, drainage that runs differently than the surface suggests. Because we do our own excavation rather than subcontracting it, we find those conditions ourselves and deal with them, instead of discovering them on someone else’s schedule.
Slope is the other constant. A pool needs a level pad and a deck needs a level surround, so a sloping yard means retaining walls, grading, or both. We build the walls and pour the concrete with the same crew, which keeps the transition between the two clean rather than leaving a seam where two contractors met.
